The Chicago Bears are working with architectural firm HOK and general contractor Mortenson Construction to design and build a 162,500-square-foot expansion of Halas Hall. The project will more than double the size of the team’s headquarters in Lake Forest, Illinois.
The initial phase of construction will enhance facilities for football operations, player training, and rehabilitation. Groundbreaking is scheduled for March 2018, with an expected opening in August 2019.
Two additional football fields are also being built on campus. And an additional practice viewing suite, similar to the existing suite at Halas Hall, will overlook the new fields. This facility offers VIP guests an opportunity to entertain clients outside of just the ten Bears home games at Soldier Field.
