The new Audi Field for DC United is designed to bring international exposure and a world-class soccer experience to DC, while keeping local needs in mind and keeping an intimate feel. The stadium features 20,000 sq ft of ground level, exterior restaurant and retail space, an at-grade pitch viewable from the outside of the stadium, bars, the first MLS party deck by Heineken, field level suites, and other groundbreaking features. Instead of a parking lot, the stadium features bike parking spots and valet. The architect is Populous and the associate architect is Marshall Moya Design. The total project cost is $400 million.
