Hard Rock Stadium begins transformation for Miami Open

Construction has begun outside Hard Rock Stadium to accommodate the Miami Open, which will relocate from Crandon Park Tennis Center. After facing initial pushback from local supporters, the event’s ticket sales are now up 22% year-over-year. Fans have warmed to the idea of tennis at Hard Rock Stadium based on its parking conveniences and enhanced ingress and egress compared to Crandon Park.

Twelve match courts are currently being built outside the stadium, with plans to build another 18 practice courts and two showcase courts with capacities of 3,024 and 1,564. A 13,800-capacity venue will be installed inside Hard Rock Stadium between the 30-yardlines.

Premium seat options will include the 1972 Club, the Nine suites, as well as 12 temporary suites.
