The newly renovated space at the Fox Theatre Atlanta delivers on its promise of top-notch foodservice and amenities throughout the guest journey.
For the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, a main focus during its long and storied run has always been authenticity. With the new addition of the Marquee Club presented by Lexus now open, this core principle extends through every part of a patron’s experience, from the food and beverage to the service and amenities surrounding it.
Laura Zimbrick, Fox Theatre’s Corporate Partnership and Premium Seating Manager, says the venue has been taking steps to whet appetites among premium clients leading up to the grand opening of the new club.
“We went through a comprehensive research and development phase to perfect the opening spring/summer menu for the Marquee Club,” she says.
On that menu are selections that harken back to the ethnic background of the venue’s overall design.
“It is a Mediterranean-Moroccan fusion of passed and displayed hor d'oeuvres.”
“Our staff to patron ratio is nearly 10:1 with concierge-like service throughout the club.”

Zimbrick notes that there is plenty to go around.
“Although our menu is primarily appetizers, they will be notable and meant to be easily shared and filling. We anticipate that when people come into the club, they will substitute this experience for going to a restaurant, so it is hors d'oeuvre style, but it will be plentiful.”
A mezze table, similar to a charcuterie board, includes a large spread of meats and cheeses, hummus, nuts, olives, and other Mediterranean-inspired grazing elements.
“We'll have somewhere between three and five different passed options, both hot and cold, and we will have an action station as well as a mezze table,” explains Zimbrick.
Prominently placed throughout the multi-level, indoor-outdoor club space will also be five premium bars. And in addition to these more hearty staples, desserts and coffee will be available during intermissions.
To complement the Mediterranean and Moroccan flavors, Zimbrick adds that the Marquee Club will offer elevated service for practical convenience.
“Our staff to patron ratio is nearly 10:1 with concierge-like service throughout the club. Staff will consistently walk the room so that guests will be able to continue their conversations without having to get up to grab another drink. They can truly enjoy the space without feeling like they have to stand in line for anything.”
The venue’s dedication to service is well-evidenced along each step of the customer journey. Guests will park in a designated lot next to the club, proceed through a carpeted and stanchioned entry, and have their coats taken if need be.
They’ll have time to enjoy the space along with access to gorgeous, club-only restrooms. The restrooms are a particularly big selling point for those regularly attending Broadway shows, considering the high traffic during intermission.
They’ll have access to screens showing a live feed of what is taking place in the auditorium, just in case they need to step into the club during the show. And finally, depending on the content of the evening, there may even be additional live entertainment in the club once the headlining act is through. What better time to top off your evening with a cocktail by seeing your favorite band for the third time, or by closing a deal you’ve been working on all night?
According to Zimbrick, the stand-out selling points differ depending on the guest and his or her membership commitment. For a Broadway customer, it may be the seasonal menus coupled with access to private restrooms. For concertgoers, pre-purchase tickets and concierge are huge.
It’s clear that the Marquee Club presented by Lexus is one of the pioneer premium club projects within historic venues and theaters. Its opening may very well indicate a trend of premium spaces within these types of venues, as entertainment spaces continue to elevate to the next level.
