More of the Same, but Different

ALSD member benefits are growing in 2018. In the new year, we are committed to providing you with more content across digital channels, in addition to the association news and industry case studies we share in each issue of SEAT Magazine.

Despite my Cleveland Indians not winning the World Series (again), 2017 was an amazing year, and a transformational one for the ALSD.

You might’ve noticed the video trial balloons sent up over our content in 2017. Now as the calendar turns over to another new year, we’ve learned from those test runs, and we’re now all-in on providing you with additional video content that educates, helps you network, and provides connections to your peers and friends to boost your commissions, surprise and delight your best customers, select qualified vendors, and build the industry’s next best venue.

For those of you who love SEAT Magazine, no worries, it’s not going anymore. Our digital content will not be in lieu of the magazine, but in addition to it. We will still be providing association news and industry case studies via the print medium.

With more mobile devices than people now residing on this planet and the realities of video consumption (a billion hours per day in aggregate on YouTube alone), it's time to illustrate our industry through visual storytelling beyond the analog realm.

But with more mobile devices than people now residing on this planet, the vast reach of the ol’ interwebs, the accessibility of video creation, the obvious realities of video consumption (a billion hours per day in aggregate on YouTube alone), and the value all this content can return to vendors and suppliers of the venue marketplace, it was past due to begin illustrating our industry through visual storytelling beyond the analog realm.

For those members who want more content, more member tips, more member highlights, more B2B sales advice, more architectural showcases, more ways to connect, more from the industry’s best vendors and suppliers, we’ve got it all covered on ALSD.com, our YouTube channel, and all our social media outlets.

Review the industry’s success stories on your desktop in the office, on your mobile device while riding the train on your way to the office, or in bed at night when you know you can’t stop scrolling through your social media feeds. Use these moments to pick up a quick trick of the sales trade, a design best practice, or updates for the 28th Annual ALSD Conference and Tradeshow. Just try not to drop your phone on your face. Or am I the only one who does that routinely before falling asleep?

So let’s get educated. Let’s network our butts off. Let’s continue to grow. Because we all want happier customers, happier bosses, and the occasional promotion and pay raise doesn’t hurt either. With the help of the ALSD, we can do all those things if we do them together.

Remember to subscribe to our YouTube channel and click the bell to receive notifications whenever we upload our next “how to” segment, venue tour, or interview with the top minds in sports and entertainment.

Kindly,

Jared Frank
