Paul Nisbet heads up the Venue Development Strategy for Regional Facilities Auckland, a Council-Controlled Organisation of Auckland Council in New Zealand’s largest city.

The Venue Development Strategy is a framework for Auckland’s major outdoor stadium venues. Previously, Paul was the Director of the Auckland Stadiums business unit of Regional Facilities Auckland, which manages three outdoor stadiums in Auckland – Mt Smart Stadium, Western Springs Stadium and North Harbour Stadium.

Paul has a background in strategic and master planning, project management, venue operations, venue and commercial management.

In previous roles he had led stadium operations in Sydney, Australia, and Auckland, New Zealand including Sydney’s Sydney Cricket Ground and Sydney Football Stadium, and Auckland’s Eden Park.

Paul has led teams and processes with responsibility for establishing strategic, mutually beneficial alliances across both public and private sectors, meeting venue hirer needs and managing stadium assets through the lifecycle of development and renewal, in complex stakeholder environments.
