University of Iowa launches table seating pilot project

The Iowa Hawkeyes have launched a pilot program to test the appeal of a new premium option called the Carver Terrace. The new addition provides tabled seating for around 100 patrons. The option is currently only available for men’s basketball games until the university determines if demand is great enough to extend the program to other sports.

At a rate of $1,500 per person, the tables will be sold in two-seat and four-seat options. As a part of the Carver Terrace, fans will be treated to a designated wait staff who will provide food and beverage to the terrace, but no alcohol. The university plans to sell half of the seats as full season packages, while leaving the rest to be sold as single-game options.
