Is anyone using distressed suite inventory in Season Ticket Holder Benefit Packages to give STH's access to complimentary suites?
Yes. It's called our Red Carpet Rewards Program: http://washington.nationals.mlb.com/was/ticketing/rewards.jsp
Yes – we send to Premium Accounts that do not have a suite. The idea is to thank them for their support and to get them in a suite in hopes they will want to buy one in the future. It has worked on both things we are trying to accomplish. Yes, we only do it for nights with "Distressed Suite Inventory". Since the suite is free, the F&B per caps increase for these.
Below is an example of the email sent out.
As a Premium MVP, we are proud to offer you a complimentary Hospitality Suite for your choice of one of these upcoming games or FedExForum events based on availability. Please identify your first, second, and third choice and I will make every effort to fill your first choice. I will confirm the date and mail your tickets and parking passes. Should you wish to purchase food and beverage for your suite at an additional cost, your contact information will be forwarded to Levy Restaurants.
We offer a discount on suites to STH; based on their ticket package they either receive $100 off, $500 off, or 50% off of a single game suite purchase. We send the coupon out in March/April and must be redeemed by June 31 and used for the 2013 season. We did this last year as well and had a great response as well as introduced many STH to our suite product. Some of them were able to provide referrals as well as purchase another suite at full price.
