Hugo Lagarda, an experienced executive in brand marketing, strategic partnerships, and community relations, serves as the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at TDECU. In this role, Hugo orchestrates the growth and enhancement of pivotal alliances with notable entities including the Houston Texans, the University of Houston, and Buc-ees. His expertise extends to fostering meaningful collaborations with various non-profit organizations across the TDECU footprint.
Prior to joining TDECU, Hugo made significant strides at PNC Bank as the Vice President of Client & Community Relations. His tenure there was marked by impactful initiatives in branding, sponsorships, client entertainment, and philanthropic endeavors across Central Texas. Hugo's professional journey also includes a significant period at BBVA USA, where he excelled as the senior manager of brand and entertainment partnerships and content marketing. His innovative approach in sponsorship analytics and the BBVA Music Sessions garnered national recognition within the sports and entertainment industry.
The foundation of Hugo's career was laid at the Houston Dynamo where we served in roles from youth programs, marketing, and a successful stint as an account executive for membership sales.
Academically, Hugo is an alumnus of the University of Houston-Downtown, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He further augmented his expertise with a specialized program in marketing analytics from UC Berkeley and mini-MBA in AI Business Applications from the University of Houston. Most recently, Hugo was a graduate of the Ft. Bend Leadership 2024 class.
