On April 5th, the Signature Services team at Mercedes-Benz Stadium hosted an event for premium clients to enjoy an afternoon of Giving Back and Teeing Off.
Several months ago, the organization partnered with the Atlanta Community Food Bank and spent a few hours volunteering at their Midtown location. It was such a special experience that the Signature Services team wanted to share the experience. With this idea in mind, the team shared the opportunity with its premium clients in a day of service. Following the two-hour shift, the premium clients were invited to then spend two hours at TopGolf to kick off the best golf week of the year – the Masters Tournament.
During volunteer hours at the Atlanta Community Food Bank, the team interacted with and got to know clients on a more personal level and shared a willingness to serve amongst each other. The shift included sorting vegetables that would go to local school pantries to serve those children who are food insecure and not able to eat a meal during the weekends while away from school. A new report shows that 1 in 7.5 people in Metro Atlanta and North Georgia turn to food panties and meal services to feed themselves and their families each year. This number includes more than 164,000 children.
Mercedes-Benz Stadium premium clients and staff wanted nothing more than to serve the community while making a continuous commitment to uphold the organization’s core values which include: Give Back to Others, Put People First, Listen and Respond, Lead by Example, Innovate Continuously, and Include Everyone.
Due to efforts to continuously serve during the shift, volunteers were able to salvage thousands of vegetables and provide approximately 9,358 meals for families, including the children, to be disbursed throughout the local food pantries at elementary schools in Atlanta and the surrounding areas. The organization could not have been more proud of what its premium clients and Signature Services team accomplished and look forward to hosting more events that allow everyone to give back.
After the volunteer shift at the Food Bank, the group headed over to TopGolf Atlanta to celebrate a job well done by teeing off for the afternoon. Premium clients were able to indulge in a fun-filled golfing experience, which included a pro golf instructor and unlimited tee time, food and drinks, and the opportunity to win prizes and more.
