Minute Maid Park

The $18 million renovation of the Houston Astros’ Minute Maid Park includes improved seating options, three new bar locations, four additional food locations, and a premium group seating area at field level, creating the first and only field-level seating area available at Minute Maid Park. Work also includes the addition of an elevator and escalators to improve fan access between levels and some revisions to the playing field. The seating capacity of Minute Maid Park remains essentially the same, with improved visibility for fans to enjoy the game from center field.

The big goals of the project are opening up the concourse for better pedestrian movement, increasing the viewing aperture between the concourse and mezzanine levels so the concourse doesn’t feel so “cave-like”, and making the mezzanine easily accessible from the concourse level. The renovation also entails improving the fan experience through the use of gathering areas with A/V capabilities while paying tribute to the history of Tal’s Hill.
