Shani Tate Ross serves as Vice President of Sales & Marketing of T-Mobile Center, the region’s award-winning arena that anchors more than $9 billion in economic investment in downtown Kansas City, Mo.
Recently named to the 2022 Women in Music Top Executives List by Billboard Magazine and recognized by the National Diversity & Leadership Conference as one of the Top 50 Leaders in Entertainment, Shani establishes and oversees the successful implementation of revenue generation including corporate partnerships sales & marketing, premium experiences, digital marketing and strategic communications.
Under Shani’s leadership, T-Mobile Center’s Sales and Marketing department works to seamlessly integrate data-driven revenue generating initiatives while delivering exceptional experiences for partners and clients. She practices an authentic leadership style that values intense partnership, visionary communication and the entrepreneurial mindset.
Previously, Shani honed her strategic communications and public relations expertise with the Kansas City Royals Baseball Club. She was selected to participate in Major League Baseball’s Executive Development Program and is the youngest graduate of Centurions, a prestigious invitation only two-year leadership curriculum sponsored by the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce.
A Kansas City native and avid volunteer, Shani is committed to improving the lives of women and children through various civic involvement efforts including leadership positions with the Women’s Council of the University of Missouri, Jackson County (MO) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City and the Women’s Intersport Network among others. She earned an undergraduate degree in business administration from the University of Missouri and master’s degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Shani makes her home in Leawood, Kan., with her husband Davyeon, and fraternal twins, Tatum and Beckham.
