Simon Nash started Ohana Towels in 2018, with the belief that others would equally appreciate the wonderful touch of hospitality of a hot or cold towel service he so frequently received in the 10+ years that he lived in Japan. Ohana Towels partners with businesses across multiple sectors that are offering this 'extra' as part of their elevated guest experience.
Prior to moving back to Seattle that year, Simon led and taught with a US College (Keuka College, NY) that offers undergraduate business degrees to students at partner universities in Vietnam and China. He directed an international Branding Agency in Thailand for two years, and worked for CS Athletic Co. (Cheerstix) in China for three, overseeing production of their line of Competitive Cheerleading sportswear and those 'Cheerstix' noisemakers oft seen at NBA and MLB games. In 1998, he opened a bagel & espresso shop called “Seattle Cafe' in Yokohama, Japan, which grew to be a chain of locations around the Tokyo metropolitan area. In Japan, he was an Account Executive for Redhook Brewery (Seattle) and Budweiser International, and later served as Managing Partner at the Tokyo office of The Gallup Organization.
He has an MA and a BA from Washington State University, where he also rowed on and coached for the WSU Crew.
